CCRN College-Connect Program provides the perfect prelude to the college experience! The thoughtful curriculum provides a rich learning opportunity for college-bound IEP students entering the twelfth grade.
Your student will have the opportunity to:
- Get acquainted with the college campus
- Focus on self-advocacy skills
- Improve organizational skills
- Develop study skills
- Participate in sample college level mini-courses in such areas as Art, Science, and Computer Science
- Gain valuable insight from guest speakers from business and industry invited to present career options
- Meet college admissions counselors and get tips on completing applications and college life
- Identify and locate the student union
- Learn about social interaction opportunities on campus
- Navigate through the cafeteria and enjoy lunch on campus
- Overcome anxiety around academic and social challenges of transitioning to college
CCRN College-Connect is a pilot program that a select group of school districts are considering for their students.
